3 - Richard

I met Richard just after I had finished crossing the street. I saw him standing at the corner waiting for the light to change, and asked him if he had a minute for me. He was on the way home from picking up his vacuum from a repair shop, but said that he wasn't in a rush, and was kind enough to chat for a couple minutes with me.

He had a slight accent, so I was naturally curious as to where he originally came from. Richard told me he was Scottish, and had first moved to Montreal before he came to Toronto in 1967.

As we were talking, and I was taking a few shots of him, I didn't feel like his personality was coming through. Towards the end, he offered to hold up the vacuum and pose it in the shot, which seemed to open him up a little more, and then I grabbed this one just before he crossed the street to go home. Good things do come to those who wait I guess.
