I was walking along the street, and saw Josie on the other side working on a crossword scratch card. She just caught my eye, and when the next break in traffic arrived, I skipped across the road and introduced myself.
When I told her what I was doing, she opened up immediately, telling me about how she used to model for 3 different photographers in Toronto when she was younger. That is, until she met her dentist, who she married and eventually had 2 children with, both of which have two of their own.
She mentioned that she had been living in Canada for 57 years, so I asked her where she was originally from. Coincidentally, she came from Germany, which is where I spent 4 years of my life, so our conversation continued in German.
After taking a few photos and chit chatting for a while longer, we shook hands and said our goodbyes.
