This couple was walking casually in front of me down the street, so I quickened my pace to catch up to them. Just before I reached them they turned into a store, and I didn't want to disturb them by asking them to come back outside again. Almost home, I accepted the fact that I wouldn't get any strangers today and made my way across the street.
Just off of the corner, Jamie was standing at the side of the street and she caught my eye with the flowing shawl around her. I walked up to her and asked her if she had a minute, and her warmth was instantly apparent. She works at a wine store, and has been living in Toronto all her life. She'll be moving to another part of Toronto soon because of her job, but made lots of friends while she was here.
